As our first post, I thought I would share the story of Path Finders founder, Brenda. She began teaching in 1994 at a small private school, and later moved to a public school where she taught third, fourth and fifth grade classes. After seeing so many students struggle in the classroom, and not getting the required one on one attention and help they needed, Brenda decided it was time for a change. Out of her passion to see struggling students become successful learners, she created Path Finders. She spent several years learning and studying the latest research and techniques about how to train the brain through specialized programs to develop the necessary skills to succeed, not only in school, but in all aspects of life. Path Finders was created to do just that; to help students and even adults, develop the necessary skills to become successful learners. At Path Finders, we help develop processing speed, working memory, visual and auditory processing, attention, planning, and organization. We believe all of these core skills are necessary for every academic task, as well as so many tasks in everyday life. Brenda’s passion led her to create Path Finders, and it is her through her passion and care that Path Finders has helped, and continues to help, so many students from every level find the most success possible.
